  • Lightweight and compact booklight works seamlessly with most of M-Edges covers for 2nd Generation Kindle
  • Light stows in many M-Edge covers and easily pivots up to allow for optimal light positioning.
  • Powered with 1 AAA battery that provides more than 20 hours of use without dimming (battery not included)
  • Optical lens spreads light evenly over Kindle screen, and Super Bright LED light bulb never needs replacing
  • High and low light intensity settings allow for tailored screen illumination

  • Lightweight and compact booklight works seamlessly with most of the M-Edge Accessories jackets for Latest Generation Kindle. The M-Edge e-Luminator2 booklight (patent pending) is the ultimate accessory for the Amazon Kindle. Based on the input of loyal M-Edge customers, this custom designed booklight has been developed to work seamlessly with the M-Edge Prodigy, Platform, Latitude, Icon, Halsea, Trip and Flip Jackets. The powerful light features a super-bright LED light bulb which provides ample illumination for the screen of the Reader while a mirrored reflector and optical quality lens disperses the light uniformly. The light is powered by a standard AAA battery (not included) with endurance enough for more than 20 hours of operation without dimming. The light is operated by a three position switch with two light intensity settings. A flexible and resilient steel neck allows the user to position the light in the desired direction. Perhaps the most impressive feature of this light is that it is designed to be stored via a slim support arm sized to match a pocket sewn into the back of many of M-Edge Jackets for the Amazon Kindle. The light pocket is conveniently located behind the Reader and does not interfere with the use of the Reader. When in the storage position, the light is located conveniently in the spine of the jacket so you can easily bring your light while on the go (for our Platform, Prodigy, Icon and Halsea jackets). For our Latitude Jacket, there is a storage pocket to easily place your e-Luminator when not in use.

Perfect addition to my M-Edge Kindle cover
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
This booklight is a perfect fit in my M-Edge Kindle cover. The light provided is more than adequate for reading while my husband gets his required beauty sleep. There are two different settings for brightness, and the lower of the two provides enough light for reading in the car at night without being a distraction to the driver. Couldn't be happier. Good value for the money spent.

    Great -- if it works....

We bought two of these for our Kindle's. We have M-edge covers (which are great!) and wanted the integrated light to work with the covers. All I can say is there are some real quality control problems with this product. One of the lights we received worked fine -- it is great and has been good product for one of our Kindle's. The other was buggy from the start. The light would not stay on consistently and flickered on and off with the slightest movement of the light arm. I contacted M-edge's customer service (who were very responsive and polite) and they immediately sent a replacement. The problem is -- the replacement had the same issue! Flickering light and won't stay on -- tried different batteries to ensure that wasn't the issue but no luck. Ultimately ended up sending back the second light (and defective replacement) while keeping the one working one. Long story short -- if you are lucky enough to get one that works it is a great product -- especially if you have an M-edge cover. If, however, you get a defective one (which, in our experience, is more likely) then you will not be pleased. It's a shame because M-edge generally puts out quality products. They really need to address quality control on this one, however.

    Great Lite

I love my new light! It fits perfectly in my M-Edge cover. I personally find it
bright enough, in fact I keep it on the lower light which is more than sufficient.

a good choice for a compatible M-Edge cover
Customer Rating: 4 out of 5
As a Canadian customer, I had to buy my e-Luminator light directly from the M-Edge site. I was a bit hesitant about buying it, because of some of the less enthusiastic reviews I had read. But I love it. I use it with my Trip Cover. Aesthetically, I love that the light matches the Kindle in colour. But more importantly, it is a very workable light to keep with your Kindle and cover.

I would prefer that the light be a bit brighter -- but that isn't a huge issue for me. Overall I am very pleased with this light.

I would like to add a note regarding changing the battery. Several customers have complained that the battery is hard to get out of the compartment. The instructions included with the light don't make it very clear, but there are instructions on the M-Edge site. You just have to tap on the arm that inserts into the cover (close to the battery cover) and the battery just slides right out.

    Great Little Light
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
I bought this light to fit inside the Kindle cover I had just purchased. You need to make sure the cover you have will accommodate this light, not all of them do. When I first got my Kindle, I didn't think I needed a light, I don't read in low light and I have never used a regular book light, so why would I need one now?! My sister and mother both got these lights and told me I had to check it out. I soon discovered that although I don't NEED a light, having one is sure a plus! I use the light all the time now, it just brightens things up a bit. There is no glare and the light isn't hard on your eyes, makes reading even more enjoyable. I also love that I always have it right there with me, since it fits in my cover. It is light weight and a definite benefit to my Kindle reading experience. I recommend it to anyone that has the right cover for it and thinks they might enjoy some brightness in their reading.
