Not bad, and my experience is that it WILL charge two devices
Customer Rating: 3 out of 5
Bought one at a local discount warehouse store, and it works fine for what we need it for -- charging a Samsung Impression smartphone and iPod Nano at the same time. Others reported that it doesn't have the power (current or voltage) to charge two devices; I can't confirm that.

One caveat: the plastic prong cover (don't throw it out!) is supposed to slide into a slot on the bottom and "provide balance against any surface."[1] Well, any surface in which the outlet is flush with. 99 out of 100 outlets I use have the outlet flush with a baseplate on a wall, and the suppressor (as pictured in the user guide) extends beyond conventional baseplates any way you place it. I think that's an imaginary feature. Really, the prong protector just stows in a slot on the device, and that's thoughtful designing.

It's big. (See my picture in the product photo gallery.) For a portable USB charger, I'd opt for a unit from Belkin or others that the prongs flip into to stow during travel. Or ... I like Apple's $30 charger, which is as small as I've seen anywhere, small enough to fit into a Case Logic Compact Portable Hard Drive Case with my iPod and in-ear headphones.

[1] According to the Belkin user guide included with the surge suppressor. For what it's worth, the illustrated guide is very good, showing you the various ways to use it.

Not able to power more than 1 device from the TWO USB ports
Customer Rating: 2 out of 5
The product is a great idea, but it doesn't provide enough power to the USB ports to power more than one cellphone at a time (I tried two Blackberry phones - 8320 and Curve 2 from T-Mobile). So it's good for powering one device and another through the outlets themselves.

    Nice little piece of technology
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
Very nice plugin It does just what I wanted it to do and it has a small footprint. I am very happy with this item

Works well. Both USB chargers work at the same time!
Customer Rating: 4 out of 5
Wanted a travel power strip. I looked at the Monster power strips because I thought I wanted one with a plug in cord. The Belkin plug is not flush with the sides of the unit. It looks like it will fit into a recessed outlet (like you would find in the floor at an airport). The Belkin also includes a surge protector, something the Monster strip does not have.

Contrary to another review, both USB charge outlets work It was the first thing I checked. I plugged in my iphone and an itouch and they both charged.

I would have given it 5 stars if it was a little smaller but 4 stars isnt too bad in my book.

    A must have
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
This is a must have for anyone who travels and uses a laptop or an iPod. It fits easily into your briefcase or travel bag and gives you that added protection that you want for those expensive products you have. The company shipped this fast - next day - and I had it from the USPS within two days after that.
