This basic battery/cord powered 'domestic' radio is an excellent value with better than expected sound and station pickup.

Signal is good even with stations, battery lasts extremely long, good solid construction and sound quality is great.
Definitely worth the money.

I was looking for a small portable radio and came across this one, read the reviews and decided to buy it. I am so glad I did, it's easy to use, has a handle, uses 4 AA batteries, and comes with a plug in case you want to use it that way. It also has great sound for being a small radio. I am very happy with this purchase.

I own several high quality portable radios, and I'm happy with most of them. For the $25.00 I paid for this on Amazon, this is a total no-brainer. I listen primarily to AM, and it compares favorably to far more expensive radios. Fairly stable tuning for an analogue tuner. Better than my Super Radios, though not as sensitive. That can be an advantage for most users. Simple and basic. Don't over think. Just buy it.

We were looking for a quality AM/FM radio designed for simply listening to radio rather than listening to weather forecasts, etc. We found it in this Sony product. Very easy to use, light in weight, good sound -- a combination not easily found in these days of robust electronic development.
