Movement and progression, transportation and transformation - this is the basis for this disc. Beneath infectious grooves, thick harmonies and melodic hooks, the album boasts topics ranging from the down low phenomenon ("Mr. Mistress"), gender identity ("Transport Me"), gay relationships ("Good Relationship)", spirituality and forgiveness ("I Can Forgive You,"), crystal meth addiction ("Feeding The Fire") and human rights ("Human"). For the first single, the horn driven, earth wind and fire-esque retro house jam "Where The Music Takes You," Gold collaborated with Grammy Award Winning Producer Joe Hogue (of >HitPlay) and VH1's "Born To Diva" Sasha Allen to express the eternal theme of "To thine own self you can be true." Dave Koz also lends his smooth sounds on the album. Sexy, smart and soulful, the buzz has already begun that Transport Systems is a breakthrough album for this groundbreaking artist.

Customer Reviews:

Ari Gold is Golden
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
Ari's strong, sensual voice is pure honey, and when it wraps it around songs as sweet as these, the result is delicious. I love Ari on a mid tempo song, and the second track, Transport Me, is Ari at his best: haunting, romantic and soulful. If you love his signature song Space Under Sun, Transport Me will will find a similar home on your "favorites" playlist.

Of course, Ari excels at dance tracks, too, and Where the Music Takes You is a rocking good time, as is Mr. Mistress and Good Relationship. This CD will definitely keep you going on the dance floor or in the gym.

It's great to hear an artist as talented and accessible as Ari as he continues to grow and evolve. Even better, unlike many male pop star who have yet to tumble out of the closet, Ari is openly gay, and directs some of his songs to other men. The result? Music that is more heartfelt, more sincere and more moving that you're used to hearing.

Transport Systems is really good stuff. Buy it for the music, but also enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that you're helping prove that gay artists can be successful without hiding their true selves. Ari's a great-looking guy, but his true beauty lies in his art and his courage.

Keep it up Ari - you are loved.

A True Maturity for Gold's Sound
Customer Rating: 4 out of 5
Transport Systems truly showcases Gold's effort to be singer/songwriter that appeals to everyone. He's taken time on this work to refine his sound with better hooks, smarter lyrics, and slicker production. The set of songs featured here represent the concept of the album well. As a result, The tracks with the most to impart are front loaded. Transport Me, Where The Music Takes You, and Ride To Heaven show Gold at his very best. He tackles gender and sexuality, relationships, and crystal meth's effect on the gay community. He remains true to his original purpose which is to make music that sounds familar yet clever, fun and yet powerful. Some of the songs do sound just a tad over produced and predictable. However, Transport translates into a maturity that says "I'm much closter to reaching my full potential" and it shows.

Out gay artist with talent!

I bought Ari's latest album a few weeks ago and I have literally been playing absolutely nothing else in my vehicle since then! It's that good!

What makes this album so playable is the fact that each song has it's own genre, style and story. It's not like other albums where every song is basically the same thing, just played a little differently. Not with this one.

Also, I had to pay VERY close attention to the lyrics. I'm the type of person that just likes music for the beats and rhythms and rarely listen to the lyrics, other than the chorus line.

Then my partner of twelve years (would be husband if it were legal in our state) pointed out the lyrics, which he always does, and when I listened closely to the lyrics then the whole album just took an entirely different route and it does indeed tell a very worthwhile story of being true to yourself and not succuming to the pressures of societal norms and binary gender and sexual orientation, if that's not how you were born.

Don't get me wrong here people, if you are 100% heterosexual and you have absolutely no problems with your own gender and your own sexual orientation, then kudos to you. Not everyone on the face of this planet is born that way and we should not be holding each other down with hate and discrimination just because we are born different. Yes, I said "BORN" and not "CHOOSE". The only thing we are choosing is to be honest with ourselves and live how we were born!

Anyway, this is what I got from Ari's latest album and I sure do hope there's a lot more to come!

So very hot
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
Ari Gold is smoking hot, and so is his sound. This is a wonderful CD, one that instantly went into the rotation in my car and at home. I just love this one!

better and better

Talk about waking up with the house on fire! Ari's new music is as delicious as he is himself. Most of the tracks are filled with lots of energy and smart, catchy lyrics. I got hooked with the earlier "Space Under Sun" album and this new cd has reeled me right in.

There's a little rock, a little jazz, and a whole lot of upbeat, can't sit still, R&B/pop music. Love it!
