This was a great fun for my 3-4 yr old. He was learning shapes and colors with this fun creative version of candy land. My little guy liked pulling the handle and getting everyone's shapes out. He would call out the shape and the color and then hand them to you.
Make sure you keep this up when the game is over There are a lot of fun colorful shapes that my son wanted to carry around in his pocket. Wish there was a extra replacement kit for this game. We have been searching for pieces to play

We got this game as a Christmas present for my 2.5 year old daughter. It was the first game that she had enough patience to play from beginning to end! Each player gets a cardboard gingerbread man and has to fill up the 4 spots on the board with matching shapes from the castle. The game is recommended for children 3 and up, but I think it is better for younger children (with an adult). Our 19 month old has already started playing, too. It's been great in helping to teach the kids taking turns and playing fair. They already knew their colors and shapes, but it would be helpful for those concepts, too. Aside from the likelihood of the pieces getting lost (we've lost a red square), I highly recommend this game.

I bought this for my two year old daughter for Christmas. She really enjoys playing it, the only downside is that she already knows all the shapes and colors but if she didn't it would really be helpful! Definitely a great game!

Our daughter received this game on her first birthday. It is recommended for ages three and up, but her grandmother had heard it was almost too little by then. However, one was too little to start playing - the pieces are much too small for a child that age. But, we pulled the game out at about 17 months, and have played with it ever since. My daughter loves to get it out, and begin matching the pieces. It has been great for working on her shapes and colors. She truly has learned her colors from this game. It is also a great way to practice taking turns. My daughter loves to have people play this with her, but she's also content to play it on her own, and match up every last shape and color. It has been a great game!
