I gotta say I was very pleased with this edition to the Gay Happenings collection. I'd have to say if you're going to start anywhere with this series, start at Mega House Party. These remixes will have you dancing all night long (or all the way to work in your car.)
1.Belmond & Parker feat. Ronnie Sherman - Show Me Love (2006 Club Remix)-Sounds just like an updated version of the 90's classic, but still good.
2. Mysterious Girl - Like A Prayer (Club Mix)-Love it, love it, love it! great for working out on the Eliptcal at the gym.
3. Scotty feat. MC Sherlock - Insomnia 2006 (Belmond & Parker Club Mix)-Hardcore House, awesome track!
4. Patrick Bryze & Jim Tonique - Better World (Sugar Kingz Remix)-Good track
5. Sharon Dexter - Finally (Club Mix)-I prefer the orignal...
6. Disco Blue - I Don't Cry (Extended Mix)-Good
7. The In-Crowd - Groove Is In The Heart (Club Mix #2)- AWESOME cover! Long over due for a Techno/Trance/House cover of this 90's hit.
8. The Sugar Kingz - Only You (Horny United Mix) -Blah
9. Syndicate Of L.A.W. feat. D-Train - You're The One For Me (Extended House Mix) -Blah
10. Karmah - Tom's Diner (B&P Club Mix) -Not terrible but nothing spectacular. I actually prefer the orignal version by Susanne Vega.
11. Sound Factor feat. Marysol - Let It Go (Axwell & Manks Mix) -Good
12. Carol Jiani - Hit And Run Lover (2006 Mondo Remix) -The best remix of this song that I've heard yet!
13. Joe Face - Maniac (Extended Mix) -it got old a little quick, but if you dont listen to it every other second it's cool.
14. Diva DJ's feat. Nicki French - Total Eclipse Of The Heart 2006 (Shanghai Surprize Mix) -I a bit too long and not that different from the non-remixed version by Nikki French. But still a classic.
15. Mysterious Girl - Hung Up (Tech-House Mix)-Best part, in the middle when the Abba sample gets all "techno!"
16. Disco Deejays - Stayin' Alive (Club Mix) -Sucks!
17. JPM feat. Rocking J - Amigo (Electro Mix) -Nothing to write home about.
18. Martha & The Muffins - Echo Beach 2006 (Club Mix)- Hard beat, it's a hot song!
19. Cloudskippers feat. Shena - The Real Thing (O'Heller Mix)- The absolute best track on this album. OMG! It makes buying this cd worth it, without a doubt! The song is such a fusion of house and trance and Shena's vocals are soooo great. #1 Best!
20. DJs 4 Life feat. DJ Tom - Everyone's A Winner (Club Mix)- Blah
21. RuPaul feat. Tom Trujillo - People Are People (Guiseppe D's Rutroactive Mix Show) -Oh RuPaul....just stop.
22. Chico del Mar feat. Pit Bailay - Free Your Mind (Original Mix)- blah, blah,blah
Let me tell you, this cd is on my i-pod, in my car stereo. I listen to it on the way to/from work, to the gym, at the gym. it's the best from Gay Happenings!
