It's a nice Ru collection to have. But you really have to know what is popular in the club scene to enjoy this album. There is lots of mixes on this album, and it may not always be likable to everyone. The good ones are:
Super Model remix- It has an easy old school beat, which is actually an enjoyable alternative from the GLAMERUS ROSSEY Supermodel'92.
Give it one more try - Good remix, with a house/tehnch "I'll House YA" rhythm.
The Lonely - Loved this one. It has a grainy bass beat to it, which is good. It's a caring Ru dance song.
Free to Be - It's sultry and dancey (ie. DS), with a desert storm 9/11 twich added!
People are People - The first 3 minutes is just intro music, which can get annoying, but it's still a wortwhile song.
Are you man enough? - Fun freewill song, with some additional chorus lyrics.
Super Model(last track)- Nice futuristic disco song, which is very pleasent but funky.
The rest are need "lemon wedge" to topp! They may not please everyone, but atleast it's some new mixes from Red Hot.

I have listened to this more times than I should, it is just the same old story and is dull, dull, dull. Why is it that Drag Queens (and Madonna come to think of it)think they can repackage what little talent they have and think that people will buy it. If you are a die-hard fan buy it, if I were you I would save my money and buy something less boring instead

It's been exactly thirteen years since RuPaul's first album, Supermodel Of The World, hit the Billboard charts and made him/her an international recording star. That was one fierce song sung by the tallest Supermodel I had ever witnessed. After many years, runways and recordings, RuPaul has released his first ever remix album of club favorites titled, what else but, Reworked. And reworked it he and his remixers have. From the opening track of the international smash "Supermodel" featuring Shirley Q. Liquor, remixed by El Lay Toya Jam, this track is fresher than it was when he strutted down that catwalk in the early 90's. The CD is comprised of 14 other tracks, including two bonus tracks, the stupendous thumper "Coming Out Of Hiding" (Trance Gender Mix) and a brand new song recorded for this compilation, "The Lonely," remixed splendidly by Giuseppe D. Other well-known tracks that have a fresh and fierce makeover include the smash hit "Free To Be" featuring Chris Willis (OranGeFuZzZ Radio Mix), the fabulous "Looking Good, Feeling Gorgeous" and the standout "Are You Man Enough?," remixed by DJ Joe Carrano. The always outspoken RuPaul comments on why it's important, especially at this time in history that we get out and enjoy ourselves more than ever. RuPaul comments, "Today our culture is far more conservative and fear based. Attacks from the religious right and their influence over politicians have had a huge impact on people who live outside the box. Even gay people are more conservative than ever." He concludes his thoughts by saying, "People take what politicians and religious zealots say at face value, no questions asked. I feel proud of my body of work and that I'm able to offer an alternative to the status quo with my presence in the entertainment industry. My goal is to have a blast at what I'm doing and then to entertain people and hopefully someone will also be inspired by my experience." We ARE inspired and we hear you, RuPaul! If you think you won't find anything new on this set, think again. The title "Reworked" is an understatement. The song titles may be familiar but the beat is new and better than evah! The traditional dance tracks have been reworked into Electronic Funk, Trance, Crunk, House and the always lovable Disco. Need more proof? Download a couple of samples off the internet and I guarantee you'll be reworking it until Labor Day! Thank you, RuPaul, for being such a positive role "model." Nothing you do needs reworking. But as long as you're offering, how can we resist?

Yes--I agree! Where are the classic RuPaul tracks remixed? I would have loved to hear those babies pulled out of the past and reworked into the present. But alas...they are MIA. But in any case, "Reworked" is an outstanding album that reworks (like duh huh) RuPaul's latest offerings into heavier dance tracks. While some the mixes (for the singles off "Red Hot") have already been released in different formats, the new version of "Supermodel" is great. Again, after hearing that it would have been great to hear some more classic tracks remixed (I'm sure there were some legal issues regarding this choice). The new track "The Lonely" is great and fits right in with the club tracks presented in the album. Songs like "Just A Little In And Out" and "The Price Of One" outshine their unmixed counterparts. But where are "Kinky/Freaky" and the stunning gay love anthem "Love Is Love"? It's also fun to mention the art direction and package for the album. The RuPaul doll is gorgeous and the choice to feature the doll (albeit nude) against the stark white backgroud is hot. A great album from an amazing artist.
