DVD TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX HOME ENT Publisher: 20th Century Fox Format: Color, Dolby, Dubbed, DVD-Video, Full Screen, Subtitled, Widescreen, NTSC Actors: Piper Perabo, Lena Headey, Matthew Goode, Celia Imrie, Anthony Head Piper Perabo lights up the screen as Rachel a blushing bride whose perfect nuptials take a surprising turn at the altar. An innocent glance between Rachel and an unexpected wedding guest is all it takes to spark a 'love at first sight' romance with a surprising twist -- the object of Rachel's affection is a smart and sensuous... woman! Their shocking romance causes quite a stir amongst her family and friends as Rachel is forced to choose between her husband and the girl of her dreams. Say 'I do' to the wonderfully witty film that Cosmopolitan calls "a refreshing romantic comedy."System Requirements:Running Time: 93 minutesFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: COMEDY Rating: R UPC: 024543247258 Manufacturer No: 2234725 Writer/director Ol Parker's debut takes its title from "Happy Together" by the Turtles ("Imagine me and you / and you and me") and its inspiration from the romantic comedies of Richard Curtis (Love Actually). There's a twist. Flower shop owner Luce (Lena Headey, The Brothers Grimm) is gay. Newlywed Rachel (a convincingly UK-accented Piper Perabo, Lost and Delirious) is straight. The two meet at Rachel's wedding--Luce designed the floral arrangements--and feel an instant connection. Rachel brushes it off. After all, the charming Heck (Matthew Goode, Match Point) was her best friend long before he became her husband. Shortly after the ceremony, however, she begins to feel as if something is missing. She starts making excuses to see Luce. First it's to thank her for the flowers, then it's to invite her to dinner with Heck and their on-the-make pal Cooper (a hilarious Darren Boyd)...who's crushed when he discovers that Luce prefers women. Rachel, meanwhile, finds married life pleasant enough, but only really feels alive when she's with Luce. It's tricky, because she loves Heck and doesn't want to hurt his feelings, so she and Luce decide to stop seeing each other. But the bond between the two is too powerful for either to resist. What it may lack in originality, Imagine Me & You makes up for in an enchanting soundtrack and sensitive performances from its three likable leads. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

This movie is refreshing as a sweet lesbian love story. I was impressed with the quality of the film. How rare is it to find a lesbian or gay movie without drug use, promiscuity, pointless graphic sex or a host of other trashy things thrown in? Very rare in my experience. Unlike most in the genre, this movie is good CLEAN fun. Instead of focusing on sex, the film is centered around the feelings developing between the two female characters. This movie was unfairly rated R, apparently because two women falling in love and kissing (but never doing any more than that) is so very "dirty". After all, it would be a shame if anyone under 17 could watch a sweet movie about two women falling in love. The one truly irritating part of this movie is a straight male "friend" who likes to run off at the mouth endlessly spewing crude and vulgar things. This pig is the only thing that warrants concern when considering showing this film to younger viewers, but would never be rated R on its own. I've seen worse language and sexual references in PG-13 movies. Aside from this one loser, the movie is a joy to watch. I'm just disappointed with the homophobia and ignorance that contributed to the R rating. Young people could use more positive images of gay and lesbian characters like the ones we see in this movie.

This is by far one of my all time favorite movies. It makes you feel good about love regardless of orientation. Lena Headey is amazing.

I'm not into LESBIAN movies because 90% of them have nothing to do with my life. I don't identify with any of the characters and I wonder who made this movie and thinks this is how lesbians are. I'm not full of angst or trouble, even back when I was single, I didn't have this many problems.
Anyway, getting to this movie...
Finally, a movie where I can identify with the characters. You feel Heck's love for Rach and Luce's too. On one hand, you want to root for Heck and on the other, you want Rach and Luce to be happy. A perfect movie for any household and even more perfect for a Lesbian one.

I just happened to be up late one night surfing channels and saw this movie. Since then I have watched it easily over ten times. Very funny movie. Plus, Piper Perabo is cute.

This was an okay movie. The story line was pretty good. Piper is a talented actress, and Lena is amazing. It is a PG movie though, so if you're looking for sexy girl on girl action this is not the movie. Kinda disappointing in that aspect.
