This series of games reproduces classics and puts them in a nice looking, durable wooden box. Finally, an end to the constantly crushed cardboard boxes with split corners that spill their contents. The game looks great inside and out - the board folds compactly and unfolds flat. The tokens are wooden, the weapons are metal (except the plastic rope) and everthing fits together in the box as is supposed to. The illustraions of the rooms, weapons, and suspects are retro looking drawings. In fact the only thing about this game I don't like is that Miss Scarlett is not the sultry Asian babe that I remember from my version as a kid and instead is a cute blond nice girl.
This is the first game of this series I have purchased, and I'm definitely adding the rest to my wish list. I love how the games all have a uniform box size - storage and display is great. I do wish the lid of the box latched a bit more securely - it will slide out of the groves fairly easily.

Clue is a great game!
Unfortunately, this board is the original and the pieces are the original. If that's what you want, great. Since I've bought this Clue two weeks ago, I have already found 3 other versions that have games boards that are higher quality, more fun looking, themed, and simply more pretty to look at. I have also found that other Clue Sets have higher quality weapons and characters that actually look like characters instead of ghetto tokens. At my first opportunity, I will give this game to someone else and buy myself a more fun-themed Clue Set.

My kids (ages 9 and 10) loved the game. Unlike Classics Monopoly or Risk this can be played in 30 minutes or so, and you may even get a few games in before everyone has had enough. Classic pieces and characters are funny without being distracting. This game is especially good for kids who don't like the competition of most games, as it is more a problem solving game.

Clue hasn't looked this good since it first came out in 1948. This is a vintage edition which comes in a handsome wooden box that would be a nice addition to any bookshelf. The game board conveniently folds out and is of very good quality with metal game pieces, except for a plastic rope. All the characters are there from Professor Plum to Miss Scarlett, all you have to do is solve the crime. The beauty of Clue is that it is a relatively fast paced game, which is great fun for young and old alike.
