Hi everyone, thanks all your warm and heated up discussion below. I'm a literature guy and pretty fond of enjoying novels and movies like North and South. Can I know whether this set of TV series has English subtitles or not? As we can see on its Ad. saying "it's been subtitled", but sometimes could be without. Hope can get the answer from any one of you sooner, appreciate!--Jimmy

Part 1 and 2 of this mini-series in my opinion is BETTER than Gone With The Wind.
I first saw this on t.v. way back in 1985 and was so in love with it I had to buy the set.
With the rescent passing of the Great Patrick Swayze I pulled it out to watch again and I was even more floored than the first time.
This is a MUST SEE!!! NO QUESTION!!!
The all star cast is phenominal, James Reed, Lesley Anne Down, Kirsty Alley, Hal Holbrook, Genie Francis, David Caaridine,Elizabeth Taylor, the list is astounding, even a cameo form Johnny Cash!!!
Part 3 is truly AWFULL, most of the original castmembers are gone, it is poorly filmed and very boring!!!
I really wished it would have ended with part 2 and a happy ending.
