over two hours of music--so few peak hour tracks!
Customer Rating: 2 out of 5
Disc 1, Lydia Prim's mix, has mostly misses, with few hits. Track 1 is a deep dark female vocal to warm us up, but track two is sort of a drag, a dull track with filtered male vocal every now and then. Track 3 is even more boring, and instrumental. "getting into U" is disco-flavored female vocal-with noticeable pops in the vinyl record. Yawn-inducing tribal follows from Murk. Shauna Solomon's diva vocals are a welcome sound, but after that it's a series of more energyless disco house and instrumental tracks. Few of these songs make you wanna dance.

Manny Lehman's selection on Disc 2 begins with an upbeat and catchy disco filter track. The dubby hardhouse track with some vocals by diva vocalist Ceevox sets the stage for the series of diva anthems that follow, starting with the peak hour anthem "I'm Over You." This is followed by one of the newer remixes of "Away" by Lydia Rhodes and Mantra-good, but never as good as the original mix. Breathe is boring tribal with vocal, musica electrica is boring tribal without vocal. "Shoot Your Shot" is a cover of the Divine hi-nrg 80s classic, but it's a progessive house track that sounds nothing like it. Super Drum is a follow up thumpin progressive track. This leads perfectly into the hard sounds of Calderone's remix of "Alive" by Kevin Aviance. The final track "In the Sky" keeps up the dark beats.

Disc 2 is definitely the better of these discs, but as a whole, this compilation just doesn't have enough strong tracks to make it worth the listening all the way through over two hours. Track times:
