It's over now Hex. Okay it's so sad you can't do better then this now. Go home and never come back. Avoid at all costs.

The highlight of this album was track #1, a soulful version of Angie Stone's Wish I Didn't Miss You. The rest of the album is ok. They have one or two other listenable tracks on here. I was expecting a collection of all his GREATEST remixes on this. Personally, Hex should do an album with Deborah Cox, whom he has the BEST musical chemistry with. They were supposed to tour but plans fell through after her baby and Broadway debut.

Hex does a great job on this one, including some older remixes he did from 98 (Joi Cardwell's "Soul to Bare"), and some fairly recent stuff that's been available on vinyl (Tribal Pleasures - available on "You" records). Hex pulls out many tools to make this mix a clean, subtle progression from soulful house anthems into nasty, NYC anthems, such as Lithium's "Deep Jungle." I highly recommend this for anyone who's listened to Hex in the past and enjoyed his productions. Unlike many accomplished dj's / producers who have produced countless songs, Hex takes the humble route in this compilation by including only a minority of his remixes. He doesn't fill the cd with only his remixes; rather, he throws down tracks which fit the vibe, and they work out beautifully.

OK, it was a choice between the overpriced OPUS and this. I'm glad I got Remixology. This mix takes you on a journey and you'll enjoy every single minute. The first few tracks have an old school vibe, then midway Hex swings into full gear with some tribal beats. Then he closes the set with some genuine Chicago house tracks from the late 80s. Amazing how this man can mix the old with the new and be able to do it smoothly. The older tracks sound as fresh now as they did when they first came out. Favorites include EBTG's "Temperamental" (mind you Hex didn't use his own remix, instead opting for DJ Spen and Karizma's mix). Also "I Feel So Fine" and "Starlight in Daden" (bizarre but it works). The fact that this CD isn't peppered with a lot of Hex's own remixes says a lot -- as opposed to OPUS or say, Thunderpuss' recent display of narcissism. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Thunderpuss fan ;) But my point is, Remixology showcases Hex's taste. And it's fascinating listening to this man's influences. You'll recognize bits of little elements from the other artists, sounds which made their way (or will, in the future) to Hex's remixes. Get hexed now!

WELL FIRST LET ME SAY, I LOVE HEX, THE MAN IS A GREAT DJ!!! I HAVE LOTS AND LOTS OF HIS MATERIAL, HE IS THE MAN; HOWEVER I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS THINKING WHEN HE RELEASED THIS ALBUM, BUT I HAVE TO SAY I AM NOT FEELING THESE VIBES AT ALL. I KNOW NOT EVERONE CAN HAVE A HIT, BUT THE MUSIC DOESN'T EVEN SOUND LIKE HEX HECTOR. I REALLY HOPE HIS NEXT ONE IS BETTER. I PROBABLY HAVE LISTENED TPO THIS CD MAYB 3X. MY FAV SONG IS TRACK #1 WHICH IS A SLOWER DANCE GROOVE RATHER THEN HIS OTHER MIX WHICH IS ALOT MORE DANCIER [IF U WILL]....BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!!!
