Dance diva fans rejoice.
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
When track one started, with a take on the bassline of the original Thelma Houston version of "Don't Leave Me This Way" I thought things were starting off on the right foot-unfortunately, after a minute or two, an Eiffel 65 "Blue" type of voice started singing through the rest of the song, pretty much ruining it. While "rescue Me" isn't the most slammin cover, it's not bad, and the singer is a good sound alike. Things heat up once Dawn Tallman comes in, and the cover of "High Energy" is a pounding track. From there, it's a mix of driving diva anthems, both hard and funky. Don't get me wrong, I love Britney, but the dance cover of her song on this disc is amazing, and ten times better than the boring pop track she recorded way back when., and I'm glad I discovered it on this disc. There's a noticeably shortened version of Thunderpuss's insane mix of Abigail "If It Don't Fit." It's all very danceable, often singable, and one you'll probably give repeated listenings. I immediately jumped onto Amazon and ordered a couple more mix CDs by Roland Belmares. This is the time list:

1. Magdalena (6:16)
2. Rescue Me (5:24)
3. Wake up (7:10)
4. High Energy (6:49)
5. Shout (6:31)
6. Celebrate (5:05)
7. We Come To Party (5:48)
8. Born to Make you happy (8:32)
9. If it Don't Fit (6:02)
10. So Lost (6:35)
11. Dig it (5:55)

Alert iPod owners !!
Customer Rating: 1 out of 5
Centaur Records (Global Groove and several other records they produce) has recently configured their CDs so that you can't download them to your iPod. If you are like most people who load their music to their iPod, CDs produced by Centaur Records are worthless.

I would recommend you make sure CDs aren't produced by them before buying. You can also go to centaurrecords.com to see their list of CDs.

Sounds like someone needs to go back from where they came..

One of the better Global Groove CD's, Roland is off the hook. There is a mix from high NRG to women belting it out. Push it, Passion, and The Edge also recommended.

For the Low-Thrill-Threshold Crowd
Customer Rating: 3 out of 5
Pretty tepid stuff here. Nothing bad, but not much that really stands out. Every song starts out very promising, with a thumping dance beat, but quicly bogs down in a mushy 1980's dance mix (you know, the multitracked, high pitched female vocals, and synthesizers layered so deep they bury the rhythm tracks).

There's better stuff out there for both dancing and listening: this one is for the over-the-hill dance clubbers. The biggest "thrill" here is the photography on the cover.

"Global Groove's THRILL, a thumping dance sensation!"

Such a sexy cover: big menz with bigger muscles, flexed, buffand waiting. But lets chat about the music! Imagine you are at aPRIDE parade. Pick any city, NY, London, Toronto, Paris. Now imagine the thumping soundtrack, this in a nutshell is THRILL. A Thumping dance sensation. MAGDALENA, track 1, pure big room dance music with the distorted vocals and that disco era hook. Keepin' the energy up, up, up, DJ Roland Belmares werks for his! Next up, that Aretha Franklin sound-a-like Chance, pumps it up on RESCUE ME, Bini & Martini's 999 Funk Mix. Buildups, breakdowns, hand claps, chants and piano stans punctuate the sounds of Dawn Tallman's WAKE UP. But if you were falling asleep, track 9, Abigails's IF IT DON'T FIT is sure to wake you up! The lyrics: "My momma said if it don't fit Don't force it!" (Repeat 3 times!) Global Grooves THRILL, a thumping dance sensation!
