  • The #1 New York Times bestseller--now in paperback! Top-rated radio personality Laura Ingraham issues a call to arms in Power to the People--a plea to reinvigorate our birthright of liberty, to reconnect to our American heritage, and to revive our commitment to traditional, conservative principles. Ingraham exposes the threats we face from an emboldened cultural Left, global dogmatists, science worshippers, and politicians who spend more time on their hair than on constituency outreach. She also offers real-world solutions for how we can demand more from our leaders and ourselves. Power to the People will not just rile up Ingraham's millions of fans, it will also incite readers to do their part to protect the country that we love. "It is ours to lose," she writes, "and there are many at home and abroad who are more than willing to take it from us. Let's get to work."

    Customer Reviews:

    Coulter Lite
Customer Rating: 3 out of 5
Laura Ingraham is Ann Coulter -lite. If you can't stand Coulter's rambling, verbose, acerbic prose, then you might prefer Laura Ingraham. I give this book three stars because I didn't learn anything new from Laura. It was a long, fluffy rant about how liberalism is bad. This book would make a great present for a teenage girl who is questioning all the filth that is being thrown at her - from pop culture, peers, schools, etc. But for an adult who has already made the decision to be a conservative, this book really isn't that helpful. If you want to read, borrow it from the library. The paperback isn't worth the shelf price.

    Terrific!
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
The book was in excellent condition. The read was fantastic! Laura is always "right on"! I keep wanting more.

Another mixed bag (with some tastey bits)
Customer Rating: 3 out of 5
Reminiscent of the over-produced but generally enjoyable, insightful, and informative SHUT UP AND SING, we have another one from the energetic idealogue Laura.
The introduction sets the tone: the Power really is from above and should be internalized and implemented. LI was one draft away from a great intro, but...okay.
Her Chapters on the attack on The Family, our Borders, and Culture are excellent. As in the previous book, she could have delivered a shorter work and dug in even deeper; too much digression, too much sarcasm - sometimes badly written: "...we feel powerless...It can all seem overwhelming and demoralizing. Kind of like a Nancy Pelosi speech".
The book is also dragged down by more tired references to the two biggest Conservative Icons in the playbook: Rush Limbaugh, Ronald Reagan. Sure they had great starts, most definitely filled a void, but by now the most casual followerr of Current Events can recite their long list of foibles. (At least Rush wouldn't plan a trip to a Nazi cemetary....).
Laura, take a rest from these books. Become a permanent member of The View. The Conservative "token" there is not so Conservative after all.

Laura Ingraham exemplifies intelligence, strength and courage!
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
What I truly admire about Ms. Ingraham is that she (respectfully) criticizes both the Democrats and Republicans.
She has researched each topic in the book very well.

One high point is the topic of John Kerry's two purple hearts that the military has given to him due to "self inflicted injuries".

I am very impressed at the courage she has shown during her potentially life-threatening ordeal with cancer. The chapter covering how Ms. Ingraham has balanced the chemotherapy treatments and her radio show is very moving and inspirational. I felt her agony along with the will to overcome fear and pain. Although I don't know Ms. Ingraham personally, I am very proud of her!

This is a five star product!

    Fantastic Book! Fantastic Service!
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
Laura Ingraham's powerfully truthful book "Power to the People" is a must for anyone who believes that American society is falling apart today. If you are wondering where are moral values and our ethics have all gone, you MUST read this book! Laura is very insightful and honest in her critique of American politics, celebrities, and our legal system.
I strongly recommend this book for all working class Americans who believe that our country is headed down the wrong path. God bless our country!
