I LOVE THIS BOOK!” —Betty Buckley,Tony award-wining actress/singer

“Seth Rudetsky works in the pits, but his book is anything but. A laugh-filled excursion to Broadway with a guide who knows where all the phantoms are buried. Even if the closest you ever get to the Broadway jungle is second mezz at “The Lion King,” you'll have a good time” —Bruce Vilanch, Actor-Writer-One-time-Square

Welcome to life beneath the wicked stage!

Stephen Sheerin was born to play on Broadway—or at least, under it. He’s a musician, a conductor, and his dream is to music direct a big Broadway musical. After years of toiling in the pit of some of the best-loved (and loathed) hits on the Great White Way, he’s just been given his big break. Can life really be going that well? Of course not—his family is driving him crazy and his boyfriend can’t seem to get rid of his other boyfriend. Then there’s Stephen himself—neurotic and bitchy—who realizes that maybe total happiness is over-rated.

Broadway Nights by Seth Rudetsky
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5

What fun!! After listening to Seth Rudetsky on Sirius/XM Radio and seeing him do the show live in New York, I decided to download Broadway Nights from Audible.com. Seth is so enthusiastic and hilarious, I just knew it would be fun to listen to him tell the story in his own voice - and I was right! The story's main character, Steven, reads from his 'diary' about the ins and outs of his everyday life as a busy (if insecure) Broadway musician. Because of Seth's hilarious and witty style and his enthusiasm, it felt like he was reading his own diary while conveying every emotion imaginable - the intensity and excitement of working on a new musical show, the up and down drama and craziness of romantic relationships and family, and the stunning range of his Broadway experience and talent. I love Broadway and I enjoyed learning so much more about the inside world of musicals and acting and rehearsing, I couldn't get enough.

Although I couldn't wait to read Broadway Nights, the decision to download the audio version and hear Seth tell the story himself was a terrific decision, especially on a long road trip. It added a whole new level of enjoyment and I couldn't wait to get back in the car to hear more! Now, I hope that Seth will write Broadway Nights Part 2 - he has such a rich Broadway background and the character of Steven has so much more to do, Don't miss "Broadway Nights" or Seth Rudetsky!

Hilarious Seth Rudetsky strikes again!

I purchased this book after a musical theatre audition workshop with Seth. It was worth every penny and MORE!!
His writing voice is exactly like his voice in life. He's present throughout the book, and it's just as if he was hiding under the covers with you with a flashlight, telling you the juiciest gossip on Broadway.
This book had the ability to make me feel great, no matter if I only read one chapter! I didn't want it to end!
Read this book...you'll love it!

I LOVED this book

This book is a great, fast read. Its so funny that I was literally laughing at loud - plus the characters are just like so many people you probably know. Also, if you live in new york and/or love broadway, you'll appreciate all the insider references. A great book - I hope he writes more!

He hates me, but I find him A-Mah-Zing

I am a church-going, gun-owning, SUV-driving Southern Republican - in other words, every group Seth takes a shot at in this novel. And I LOVED it - it is laugh out loud funny. Whether you like Broadway, or can't tell a choreographer from a chiropractor, you will find a good time here.

An Ahhmazing Journey Inside Broadway!

Having listened to Seth's radio show in Sirius I was pretty certain that I would enjoy this book and I was not disappointed! Following the adventures of Stephen and hearing him describe what actually happens behind the scenes of a Broadway show is both entertaining and touching. And the Broadway anecdotes that are included made me laugh out loud while reading it! Having heard a few of them relayed by Seth himself on the radio makes me think that most of the Broadway stories (if not all) actually happened.

Reading this book makes me wonder how much of this is autobiographical of Seth. Some of the things that happen to his lead character are just too strange/absurd/funny to NOT have happened to Seth or at least someone he knows.

If you are a Broadway fan in any way, shape, or form you will enjoy this book!
