Wicked is not just a musical, it is a phenomenon. Every week 15,000 people pack New York+s Gershwin Theatre to see the show. The most successful musical on Broadway in 2004, Wicked is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Gregory Maguire. It tells the story of Elphaba, the headstrong Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda, the good witch, growing up in the Land of Oz. The show has cast a spell on fans, many of whom return for second and third viewings. In 2005, the show begins an extensive tour across the United States and Canada, hitting major cities such as Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and many more. This beautifully packaged, whimsical keepsake is designed to resemble the Grimmerie, an ancient book of spells that Elphaba uses in the show. Wicked: The Grimmerie offers fans a behind-the-curtains peek at the musical, profiles of the cast and creative team, and inside stories, with full-color photographs throughout. Some of the irresistible special features include an -Ozian+ glossary, spells, an illustrated family tree, and a step-by-step look at how Elphaba gets green before each show-everything fans need to relive the Broadway experience day after day.

A must-have for Wicked fans!
Customer Rating: 4 out of 5
After seeing this musical I HAD to have this book, but there was NO WAY I was going to pay $50 for it on the website or at the show. I was SO happy to find it at this price on Amazon. This is great book for any Wicked fan. The color photos and inside info is wonderfully interesting and the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I wanted to know more! A must have for Wicked fans!

Amazing!

This is truly a treasure for Wicked fans! It is absolutely amazing... It gives you insight to everything that happened in the production, the characters, the actors, full script. I completely recommend it for any Wicked or Bway fan!

Terrible
Customer Rating: 1 out of 5
The delivery took over two weeks and when it did arrive the entire binding was torn. I ordered the book as "new" so there was no reason for it to be in such terrible shape. Very disappointing since I wanted to give the book as a gift. Would never order anything from here again.

Has all of Oz honeymooning!

As far as photobook tie-ins for fans of musicals go it's hard to imagine a better or more informative book. There are multiple interviews with many members of the different casts of "Wicked" (US, London, and touring), plus many photos of the different metropolitan productions, and in-depth looks at the beautiful props, sets, and costumes that did so much towards making the show a success. And there are many superb interviews with the creative team that put the show together that give you a good sense of the give-and-take that went on in putting it all together. There's also a useful glossary of terms if you're not as familiar with the books by L. Frank Baum and Gregory Maguire the musical bases itself upon.
