I am a huge fan of Ellie's and this book has solidified my admiration for her work! I have two young children and find that Ellie's recipes provide a simple, healthy, and best of all, tasty meals for my entire family to enjoy. When I try a new recipe that everyone at the table eats my husband looks at me and says "this must be from Ellie". This book has many new recipes for every meal and does a wonderful job of breaking them up into sections for quick meals and meals that take a little longer. This is a perfect tool for a busy mom!

Most recipes are quite simple and definitely healthy. Having an up-front list of pantry items helps use these recipes. Otherwise, they are out of the ordinary for most of us.

I have viewed and read MANY "healthy" cookbooks and ideas in my 50 plus years;Food Network Healthy Appetite With Ellie Krieger 3 DVD Set - Healthy Cook Secrets Includes: Guilty Pleasures Incognito / Feel Good Foods / Healthy Cooking Secrets PLUS Bonus Footage: Ellie's Kitchen Tips and Quick Recipes but Ellie Kreiger's book is one of the best! Everyday foods and simple ideas to eat better at your own pace. She is no slave to the "if it's good it can't be good for you" ideas of many other book authors out there. I can have my cake and eat it too! Also, my carrot cup cakes and my energy bars, cookies, as well as many other "forbidden" foods in many circles. She teaches you basic principles and easy ways to eat healthy as well as shows me how I can alter most of my own Favorite's to be more healthy as well. Plenty of the basic foods we all love and eat daily but with her easy way of "tweeking" of the ingredients, we can all eat healthier. Ellie, You're my food hero! Her 3 disk DVD's collection is reasonable and has at least 30 recipes, as well as many tips along with seeing the magic happen before your very eyes. Her other book, Small Changes, Big Results: A 12-Week Action Plan to a Better Life, has started a long awaited change in my life that she helped me to see, I CAN DO IT TOO!

So Easy by Ellie Krieger is a beautiful cookbook filled with decadent photos of elegant foods--breakfasts, lunches, dinners and desserts. For me however, there is hardly anything I can eat! I am a Weight Watcher and when I calculated some of these meals, they came to 11 and 12 points. That's half of my point allotment for the day! While these recipes look amazing, why would I make them? I cannot afford to use my points for one meal that isn't going to be very filling. Maybe if you're having guests over, you could try one of these as a special occasion. Other than that, as a dieter, this does not help me.

I'm a fan of Ellie Krieger's philosophy on healthy eating and find her cookbooks to be the ones that I use the most. It's accessible healthy eating and delicious too! I've cooked from her other cookbook often and now that I have this one the meals I cook only get better. I especially like how this book is laid out as other's have described and that all the nutritional info on each recipe is grouped in the back for easy comparison. She makes eating healthfully - so easy (couldn't help myself)!
