  • Redemption isn't a word Jim Heron knows much about-his specialty is revenge, and to him, sin is all relative. But everything changes when he becomes a fallen angel and is charge with saving the souls of seven people from the seven deadly sins. And failure is not an option. Vin DiPietro long ago sold his soul to his business, and he's good with that-until fate intervenes in the form of a tough- talking, Harley-riding, self-professed savior. But then he meets a woman who will make him question his destiny, his sanity, and his heart-and he has to work with a fallen angel to win her over and redeem his own soul.

One of the best books I've ever read!
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
I really don't know where all these other so called JR Ward fans are coming from, but this book is amazing! So what if it was different from the BDB Series---it was SUPPOSED TO BE different! It's a differnt series! It is an excellent book; new & exciting storyline with memorable characters. I am waiting patiently for the next book in this series.

very hard to warm up to

I am an avid fan of J.R. Ward. Have read every single one of her Black Dagger Brotherhood books at least twice. Have always looked forward to her next one and they never came soon enough. With that in mind, I was extremely excited when Covet was out. I had it pre-ordered for my Kindle to get it as soon as possible. Even when I am reading something else, I will put it aside to read her books. Covet was a big disappointment. Vin and Marie-Terese just didn't click for me. There was none of the usual excitement in Covet, so took me a long time to read it. This was the book I put down to read something else that came in first. I will probably buy Covet 2 (if there is one) and if it's no better I will let that series lay and just stick to the BDB. Waiting anxiously for them to come out.

It's your personal review of the book, not a rewrite of the inside cover

I don't understand why reviewers here want to re-tell the story of the book they're reviewing. Just tell us how you like the story, not the story itself. I can read the synopsis that Amazon provides. Seriously. Review the style, the tone, and how well you liked it. Don't give us 15 paragraphs of what the book was about.

    Another paranormal winner

Enjoyed very much. The story line flowed with excitement, intrigue and of course betrayal.
Yes, it is very different from BDB but that does not make it an interesting read.
When is the next one coming out?

Another great series by JR Ward
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
Like the Black Dagger Brotherhood books, Covet takes place in Caldwell. Since I had just finished reading the BDB series, I was happy to find out that the book goes into the lives of some of the more minor characters from those books. About halfway through, I just couldn't put this book down. The suspense and mystery is great! Ward's brash dialogue is there just like in the BDB books, and I love it. If you're a fan of the Brothers, you'll no doubt be a fan of this series as well.
