That very same devotion to power, performance and innovation was applied when Milwaukee created the 0928-29 V28 Four-Piece Combo Kit. Included are a hammer-drill/driver, circular saw, reciprocating saw, and work light. All four tools are powered by a high-performance 28-volt lithium-ion battery that weighs less than an 18-volt Ni-Cad, yet delivers twice the run time. The battery has a handy "fuel gauge" that shows how much power remains.The hammer-drill/driver has a 1/2-inch keyless chuck and a two-speed, variable-speed motor (zero to 600 rpm, and zero to 1,800 rpm) that delivers a pumped-up 600 in./lbs. of torque. The chuck is equipped with carbide jaws that virtually eliminate bit slippage. There’s no hole too large to drill, or screw too big to drive for this portable powerhouse. And when it’s switched to the hammer mode, this tool will quickly bore through the hardest concrete, brick or stone. The 6-1/2-inch circular saw is arguably the most powerful cordless saw on the market. According to Milwaukee, this saw can crosscut more than 300 pine 2 by 4s on a single charge. It’s equipped with a high-speed 4,200-rpm motor that chews through wood like a corded saw. The cordless Sawzall recip saw is an ideal tool for remodelers, plumbers, and electricians. When fitted with the appropriate blade, it’ll cut practically any building material, including nail-embedded wood, metal ducts, plastic pipe, steel rods and roof shingles. Its two-speed, variable-speed motor (zero to 2,000, and zero to 3,000 strokes per minute) lets you choose the optimum cutting speed for the material. The saw has an aggressive 1-1/8-inch stroke length, and is equipped with a tool-free blade clamp and keyless adjustable shoe. The work light comes in handy when working in dark spaces. It has a super-bright xenon bulb that runs over five hours on a single charge. All four pieces come with the patented Clip-Lok System, which allows you to securely hook the tool onto your belt or tool pouch. Besides the four tools, the 0928-29 combo kit also includes two 28-volt lithium-ion batteries, a one-hour charger, saw blades and screwdriver tips, and an oversized canvas storage bag. -- Joseph Truini

This is a great way to pick up a bunch of useful tools.
The V28 charger is always up to speed in less time than I expect, and it holds the charge longer and keeps the power level up right until the end, as advertised.
I've used the flashlight a little, but that's just an extra to me, so I'm not overly concerned with it one way or another; it stays on the truck, and if I need it it's there.
I don't use the bag - I had filled it, initially, and it did a better job than I had expected at keeping all the tools in there without banging around too badly. However, the bag is large, and didn't fit well in any of the compartments of the truck, so I upgraded to the hard cases for the three primary tools.
I've spent the least amount of time on the Sawzall ~ it did a great job cutting through some heavy PVC pipe, and surprised me that it performed as well or better than some of the corded models I've used.
I don't use the corded circular saw I have any more; this cordless one performs better and feels better to use. It is significantly quieter than the corded saw, and because of that, it tends to surprise me when it actually cuts like I expect it to...
I've used the hammer drill as a drill and a driver, and it's got plenty of power, with a very responsive speed control. I haven't yet played with the hammer function, but that's because the tasks I've needed that for were large enough that the rotary hammer was the right tool for the job.

Purchased the V28 set after Hurricane Ike flooded my garage. Couldn't be happier! Amazing battery life and gobs of pure power. The ergonomics are also top notch, typical of Milwaukee quality. Well done!

I received my kit about 3 weeks ago and love it. I am a professional contractor and use my tools all day long. I was looking for a good kit and wasn't sure what to go with. I read a review at professional-power-tool-guide.com about this kit and decided to try this kit. I can not believe how light it is and how much power it has. If you are looking for a good kit, take a close look at this.

I purchased this upon the suggestion of carpenter friends who held Milwaukee in high regard. This set of tools is extremely solid, contractor grade. Although the sawzall and skill-saw aren't as powerful as corded units, this will serve most DIYers just fine. There is plenty of power. I am currently doing a major home remodel (down to studs, new pluming, electrical) and these have worked great. The flashlight is a bit weak, but is decently rugged and gets the job done.
The 28 volt provides good power over 18 and the lithium ion is the new standard. The batteries have full power until completely dead. Thus, you have useful power the entire charge, instead of using it for a short while and have to recharge when only halfway discharged.
You also may want to check Milwaukee's website for promotions. I received a fee orbital sander and wet/dry battery vacuum (which I use more than my tool set!)
Overall, this is a very good quality set, and is highly recommended.
