Misc. Cloverdale Publisher: Cloverdale
Approx. 3lbs / 1.4kg
Product of the USA
Rabbit meat is lightly flavored and has a nutty aftertaste that is unique to this animal. It is a low fat meat, low in cholesterol, and a nutritious source of proteins. Excellent with a mustard sauce or stewed slowly with onions.

All good cooks know that rabbit is a highly versatile meat which gets better if aged for a few days - ideal for us impecunious, non-US customers who go for the slower, free-shipping option. The scandalous shortage of local, British rabbit coupled with my keenness to introduce this delicate meat to my kids led me to order one.
Sadly, my rabbit bore no resemblance to the mouth-watering, turd-brown foetus in the picture. My 'product' was not only alive but had given birth during her transatlantic voyage. On opening the box, the bunnies tried make a desperate bid for freedom, hopping off in different directions. I was forced to give chase, hacking and slicing with my knife, until I finally cornered them in the kid's bedroom where they were savagely subdued.
I'm not sure if we can still produce something edible from the eviscerated innards currently scattered round the house. Once the kids stop screaming and I have managed to wipe-down the blood-splattered walls of our ad hoc abattoir, I might see if there is enough left to make a glove-puppet.
If nothing else, we won't be short of lucky rabbit paws.

Easter? This item comes up when you search for Easter? Well of course it comes up when you search for Easter. I got one for Easter. That and a lamb. Anyway, back to Easter. This rabbit was excellent, and it came with the liver intact (the liver is the best part).
My children enjoyed it as well, and even put on a little puppet show with it before I cut it up into pieces and threw it into the pot.
Goes good with roasted taters.

My only complaint with this product is that other animals don't come in this form. Please, PLEASE start marketing other fresh, whole food animals, such as deer, elk, water buffalo, and angels!

Do an Amazon search for "Easter", and what comes up, in addition to the nice Easter movies and such? A skinned dead rabbit. Are you people on crack?!!!! I'm sitting here browsing with my kids looking for a couple of Easter DVDs and this is what they see? Wake the hell up, Amazon!!!!
