If her 2002 tour really was her last--and after being "an evil frickin' diva for 40 frickin' years," as she puts it, she just might mean it--Cher has definitely left us something to remember her by. In the course of this 92-minute concert (plus loads of extra features), she wears enough different costumes and wigs to outfit a small (if rather odd) town, surrounds herself with dancers and acrobats galore, shows clips from her old TV series, and even plays all the roles in a delightful mini-version of West Side Story (one of the extras). Oh, and she sings too, covering everything from the Sonny & Cher years to her early solo career and her renaissance as a disco diva via "Believe." Bottom line: The Farewell Tour is a dynamic, sometimes silly, always entertaining show. As Cher herself notes, Britney, J-Lo, and all the others have a tough act to follow. --Sam Graham

It's a pretty good concert but could have done without the West Side Story blast from the past. I enjoyed the more glamorous costumes, terrific choreography, and acrobats.

Say what you will, Cher is a first rate entertainer! She is a rarity in Hollywood, a true suvivor who is painfully honest,real, and has a heart of gold. The CD is packed with all of her hits, done extremely well, along with her hilarious sense of humor and style. Even if your not a Cher lover, give this CD and the Tour Video a try, she'll win you over!
Thank God for Cher!.... what an inspiration... never say die.... life your life!

I like to listen to Cher, otherwise I would not have purchased this DVD. I prefer seeing the performer along with their music so I really like music DVD's. She is very flashy, but that is just her and you either like it or you don't. Some entertainers would probably look silly trying to do the same thing. She puts on a very entertaining program, but that is what we expect of her. I also benefited from the other reviews which helped me to purchase this DVD. I recommend this DVD although I probably could have done without a couple of her word choices. That kept me from giving it five stars.

For years I've been hoping someone would release the 15 minute West Side Story which Cher did on a pre-Oscar Dolly Parton show sometime during the 1980s. Cher plays all four leads AND all of the Jets. Well, someone did ...it's a bonus on this DVD set. I remembered being blown out of my seat when I first saw it, and hoped it would hold up to my memory of it. Which it does, in aces and spades! It's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen on TV ... a true tour-de-force that left me with my jaw agape and the tears streaming down my face. Honestly ... is there anything this woman CAN'T do?
