Pictures of ride cars
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
I really enjoyed this book. The information is invaluable. One thing I feel would make it even better? Pictures of the actual ride cars including the base of the cars. I am a recent above-the-knee amputee. I can pivot on my one leg but I can't step up or down, into or out of a ride car. It would really help me, and others like me, if we could see this in a picture, so we would know if we could transfer from our wheelchairs and maneuver onto the ride. The written info on the rides is good, but "a picture is worth a thousand words."

This is an easy to read and understand book, and is very helpful. The one downside is that there is no information from the author on HOW to transfer to a ride from a wheelchair - the height of the ride seat, removable armrests for sideways transfers, can the wheelchair get next to the ride seat? However, I will be taking the book with me to each park when we visit for reference and the many tips. Well done.

Every Traveler to Disney Should Buy this Book
Customer Rating: 5 out of 5
We used Walt Disney World® with Disabilities to plan our trip to Disney with our family. We own a travel agency and have access to all kinds of travel information. This book gave us critical information in planning. My father has a prothetic leg. As we planned each day, we had a "regular" guide book along with this book. We found information in Walt Disney World® with Disabilities that not only helped us plan for my father, but helpful hints that helped everyone in our family be well prepared. We did everything we wanted to do and felt like we were prepared for everything. I highly, highly recommend this book to anyone traveling to Disney. It is a wealth of information that helped make the trip more enjoyable for all of us. It took away a lot of the overwhelming aspects of the unknown. Thank you so much for writing such a wonderful book!!!!

I want to thank Stephen Ashley for writing a book through the eyes of the disabled so that we can finally enjoy going to walt disney world with our families. The time taken by the author, obviously alot of time, actual experiences and accurate accounts of the different aspects of the park make this book a must have for anyone with a disability or going with a family member, friend or someone with a disability. This wonderful book will make walt disney world a wonderful trip which could not have happened otherwise.

This book is an awesome resource!

I discovered this great book last Spring, and I love it so much I'm ordering the revised edition! Mr. Ashley does a wonderful job in explaining what to expect. On our last visit to Disney World, my sister, who has Down's Syndrome and isn't able to walk long distances, came along. This was our first experience dealing with a wheelchair at Disney. While it is very true that Disney World is probably the best place to vacation if you or a family member has disabilities, the amount of knowledge needed to easily navigate all the parks, shops, restaurants, and attractions is immense. Other guide books were helpful, but oh how I wish I had had this one then! It literally takes you through each attraction and park and tells you how to manage, not only with a wheelchair, but with other health issues also. We go back in January, and I'm looking forward to a much more relaxed and fun trip this time! Thank you Stephen and Sarah for sharing your experiences!
