Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. Stella does it all and handles it like an old pro looking into the future. Up until a year ago, this Lakeview East spot was called Lakefront Diner. Now that Stella put her name in the lights, this place has been through a revamp. Bright painted walls and local artists “for sale” art envelop you as you dine. A wonderful neighborhood diner that caters to everyone.
Brunch is no light affair here. Start with the endless coffee and move on to one of the generous portions of some of Stella’s breakfast staples. From French toast to egg skillets, Stella’s not letting you leave hungry. Come lunch time, you will find anything and everything that you need to stave off that midday hunger. Not to be outdone by surrounding restaurants, Stella’s offers special every night, augmenting their dinner menu. From “just like home” meatloaf and mashed potatoes to the sinful desserts, Stella’s is great any time of the day.
Whether you want to watch the Pride parade as it goes down it’s route or you want to cheer on a friend running the marathon, Stella’s is a great place to be. Growing with the neighborhood, yet remaining in it’s roots, Stella’s offers you some bang for you buck.

Stella's epitomizes the way diners ought to be: clean, comfortable good food and relatively inexpensive. This Greek family-owned and run restaurant is finally 100% non-smoking and features terrific shakes in an amazing variety of flavors and additives, traditional soup, salad and sandwich fare. There is a small off-Broadway patio outside for those wishing to dine with the birds, the bees and an occasional dog or noisy baby. Stella still shows up for work most mornings to get the place on its way to serving great food and fun.

Great customer service. Not the least bit stuffy. The food is amazing. Tops on the list are the tasty turkey burger, and for desert, chocolate Diva cake. Maria and Gus rock!

I like that place. Gus is friendly and so is Maria. They own the place. I used to live a block from there and would eat there at least 3 times a week. They have great big burgers and great breakfasts.
